Covered Bridges Half Marathon, A Poem

Covered Bridges Half Marathon, Vermont
 June 5th 2011

Thump thump thump thump.
Get up sleepyhead,
put some clothes on,
just don't dither about anymore,
for on this lovely day
there's this honour
and this wonder,
two thousand runners
running past your door.

                     Ann Thomas

This is a poem written by  85 year old poet, Ann Thomas, in honor of all the runners of the CBHM. She lives on River Street and loves watching the race each year! Thank you Ann. We'll look for you next year cheering on the runners!
