Winter Wild Races

Image
http://www.winterwild.com/ HAPPY NEW YEAR! Start your 2013 on the right foot: In preparation for your "CBHM" success in 2013 may we suggest a great winter event that has 8 stops around New England starting the first weekend in January. A recent participant stated: "I have run my entire life, yet only in the last 2 years have I taken up running races, and the winter wild series looked like a good way to get motivated to train during the cold winter months. Having run three races in the series, I was extremely impressed with the feeling of being part of a community at each race. This is something I have never seen at a traditional 5K event in the summer. I also must admit that running in the series has resulted in improvements to my 5K times, allowing me to recently PR before the spring race season has even started." 2013 Series Dates below: January 5th @ Wachusetts, MA: Race Info , Online Registration January 12th @ Suicide Six, VT: Race Info , Online Reg...

CBHM 2012--A Few Comments...

Great race. Amazing organization and communication.  We had a fantastic time. Thanks   The trio from Miami fl. James P Dugan Pinecrest Veterinary Hospital Miami, Fl. Mike, it was my first experience with Covered Bridges and I have to admit, I had a blast.  Can't wait to do it again next year.  All the credit in the world goes to you and your team for putting on a world class event, especially under the tough circumstances with the weather. I regret not meeting face to face and shaking your hand in person but this will have to do.  Thanks so much and have a great summer.  I hope you can enjoy some time to yourself.  Best regards, Jason Ackerson Mike,  Thank you for a great race. This was my first half marathon and I plan to do it again next year. You and everyone involved in the CBHM did a great job.  The race and support staff was amazing.  We had a great time in Quechee after the race was over.  ...

THIS STORY APPEARED IN 10 New England road races EXPLORE NEW ENGLAND April 08, 2012 | By Shira Springer The Boston Marathon is a great motivator. As roughly 27,000 runners cross the finish line April 16, thousands on the sidelines will be inspired. Maybe a marathon goes on the bucket list, but a shorter race may seem a more realistic first step. New England boasts a calendar packed with spring, summer, and fall road races of all distances. A top destination race combines convenience, good organization, tourist- and family-friendly locales, and festive atmosphere. The events listed here all offer a slice of New England - covered bridges and lighthouses or quintessential Main Streets and village greens. They show off familiar cities from unfamiliar vantage points and turn small towns into hot spots for a weekend. In these 10 races, the experience goes beyond the course and competition.
