Chad Denning, the founder of the Winter Wild series, tragically passed away earlier this year. Chad directed many events in his life but Winter Wild was his brainchild; truly capturing his spirit and energy. Chad Denning was a man of adventure and exploration of all outdoor pursuits and as a tribute to Chad’s legacy, vision, and passion, a small group of his friends will carry on the Winter Wild tradition in his honor. Winter Wild was born in 2010 at Whaleback Mountain. Inspired by Colorado’s “Up-hilling Series”, Winter Wild consists of getting up and down a mountain as quickly as possible by means of running, skiing or snowboarding, snowshoeing, or hiking the course. This year’s races will include: January 31 at Ragged Mountain in Danbury, N.H. February 14 at Pats Peak in Henniker, N.H. February 28 at Mount Sunapee in Sunapee, N.H.
